Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Definitions
These terms of service ("Terms") regulate the use of Wavo's website (wavo.dk) and our AI-powered website and app builder service ("Service"). By using the Service, you accept these Terms.
Definitions:
- Wavo/We/Us: Frederik Frifeldt and the Wavo service
- You/User: Any person or organization using the Service
- Content: Websites, apps, text, images and other material created through the Service
- Platform: wavo.dk and associated systems
2. Service Description
Wavo is an AI-powered service that enables you to:
- Generate professional websites and apps using natural language
- Preview, edit and iterate on your projects
- Publish websites to Netlify
- Connect custom domains
- Export full HTML/CSS/JavaScript source code
- Access analytics and performance data
The Service is provided "as is" — we do not guarantee specific results, only that the AI does its best to understand your instructions.
3. Account Creation and Responsibility
3.1 Account Creation
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old (or of legal age in your country)
- Create an account with a valid email and password or via Google Sign-In (Firebase)
- Accept these Terms
You are fully responsible for keeping your login credentials secret. If your account is compromised, contact us immediately at mail@frederikfrifeldt.com.
3.2 User Responsibility for Information
You guarantee that all information you provide to us is accurate and up-to-date. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
4. Subscription Plans and Pricing
4.1 Pricing Plans (effective March 2026)
Up to 3 websites, Wavo subdomain, 5 iterations/month, English AI support, basic SEO
Unlimited websites, custom domains, unlimited iterations, priority support, full source code export, analytics integration
Everything in Core, plus dedicated account manager, API access, custom integrations, priority rendering queue, white-label option, SLA support
4.2 Payment Terms
- Currency: All prices are in Danish Kroner (DKK)
- Payment method: Credit card, debit card or other methods processed by Stripe
- Billing: Automatic monthly or annual (if selected) via Stripe
- VAT: Prices exclude VAT, which is added according to Danish tax law
4.3 Auto-Renewal
Your subscription automatically renews on the same day each month (or year). We send a confirmation of each renewal via email. You can cancel anytime.
4.4 Price Changes
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. If you don't accept the new price, you can cancel your subscription.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumer Right)
As a company based in Denmark/EU selling online, we provide consumers with the right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase — in accordance with Danish law on distance contracts (Law No. 609 of June 24, 2015).
Terms for withdrawal:
- You must request withdrawal in writing within 14 days from the subscription start date
- Use email: mail@frederikfrifeldt.com
- If you have already used a significant portion of the service, the refund will be reduced accordingly
- Refund is processed within 14 days of receiving the request via original payment method
5.2 Cancellation Outside the Withdrawal Period
After the 14-day period, you can cancel your subscription anytime. Cancellation takes effect on your next billing date. No refund of the remaining period (unless otherwise legally required).
How to cancel: Send an email to mail@frederikfrifeldt.com or use "Cancel subscription" in your account settings.
5.3 No Refund for Free Plan
The free Starter plan cannot be refunded as it is free.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Your Content — You Own It
You own all content (websites, apps, text, images) that you create or upload to Wavo. We grant you a license to use the Wavo platform to host and publish your projects.
6.2 Wavo's Intellectual Property
You acknowledge that:
- The Wavo platform, AI engine, design system and all underlying code is property of Frederik Frifeldt
- You receive a non-exclusive, personal license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms
- You may not modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the Wavo system
6.3 License to Third-Party Material
Content that the AI generates (layout design, structure, certain styles) may be reused across projects and users. Your original content (text, images, logos that you provide) remains yours.
7. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service for:
- Illegal content (spam, hacking, malware, copyright infringement)
- Misrepresentation or fraud (false information to obtain credits or offers)
- Sexual or violent content
- Hate speech or discrimination
- Fake or misleading websites (phishing, Ponzi schemes, etc.)
- System overload (DDoS attacks, bot spam)
- Violation of others' rights (name, image, copyright, trademark)
We reserve the right to disable your account without notice if we detect abuse.
8. Service Availability
8.1 No SLA Guarantee
Wavo is a startup. We do not guarantee 100% uptime, although we strive for high availability. The Service is provided "as is" without guarantees of operation or error-free service.
8.2 Scheduled Maintenance
We may schedule maintenance and downtime to improve the Service. We will attempt to notify you in advance via email.
8.3 Data Loss and Backups
We maintain backups of your projects, but cannot guarantee 100% data security. You should maintain important data locally (by exporting HTML/CSS).
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Limitation of Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by Danish law, Wavo is not liable for:
- Indirect, special or consequential damages (loss of profit, data, business interruption)
- Direct loss exceeding the amount you have paid to Wavo in the past 12 months
- The AI generates incorrect or undesired content (we do not guarantee quality)
- Third-party websites or services we integrate with (Stripe, Firebase, Netlify, Google)
9.2 "As Is" Disclaimer
The Service is provided without warranties. We do not guarantee:
- That content created by AI meets your precise wishes
- That the Service will be suitable for any particular purpose
- That the AI will not make mistakes or generate undesired results
9.3 Limitations Do Not Apply To
These limitations do not apply to:
- Death or personal injury due to our negligence
- Fraud or willful misconduct
- Violation of consumer protection laws
10. Termination of Service
10.1 You Can Cancel Anytime
You can cancel your subscription without cause by sending an email to mail@frederikfrifeldt.com. Cancellation takes effect on your next billing date.
10.2 We Can Cancel
Wavo can terminate or suspend your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You use the Service for illegal purposes
- You do not pay your bill after 30 days
- Your activity damages the Service or other users
We will provide at least 30 days' notice, unless you have violated serious terms (such as cyberattack).
10.3 Consequences of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your account is closed
- Your content is deleted after 90 days (you can download it before then)
- No refund of remaining period unless legally required
11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
11.1 Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by Danish law. All disputes are interpreted and enforced according to Danish and EU law, especially consumer and data protection laws.
11.2 Legal Forum
You and Wavo agree to resolve disputes by:
- First step: Contact us at mail@frederikfrifeldt.com to attempt to resolve it
- Mediation: If not resolved within 30 days, we may attempt formal mediation
- Court: If mediation fails, disputes may be brought before Danish courts or Danish arbitration according to Danish practice
Note for consumers: You always retain the right to bring cases before your local consumer complaints board or court.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms anytime. We will notify you via email at least 30 days before material changes. If you don't accept the new Terms, you can cancel your subscription.
Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the new Terms.
13. General Provisions
13.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Wavo regarding the Service.
13.2 No Waiver
If we do not enforce a portion of these Terms, it does not mean we have waived that right.
13.3 Invalid Provisions
If a provision is invalid under Danish law, it is replaced with a legal alternative while the rest of the Terms remain binding.
13.4 No Third-Party Rights
These Terms can only be modified by Wavo and you — no third party has rights hereunder.

15. Special Terms for Danish Consumers
If you are a consumer in Denmark (private person, not a business), you have the following additional rights under Danish consumer law:
- 14-Day Right of Withdrawal: As mentioned in section 5.1
- Complaint Right: You can file a complaint about defects in goods/services within a reasonable time (normally 2 years) after receipt
- Consumer Ombudsman: You can file a complaint with the Consumer Ombudsman if you believe these Terms violate consumer protection laws
